This policy explains in plain terms what personal information we collect through the website, why we use it, who we share it with and how to exercise your rights, in accordance with Qu\u00e9bec\u2019s <em>Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. The information we collect<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li><strong>Newsletter.<\/strong> When you sign up: your email address, your name if you give it, and the language of the form (English or French).<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Your communications.<\/strong> What you send us when you write to us or call us.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Your browsing.<\/strong> Technical data (IP address, browser, device, pages viewed), collected by our web host to run and protect the website and, only if you consent, by audience measurement and advertising tools that use cookies.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We only collect what is necessary for the purposes described below. The website processes no payments. If you book or buy a gift card on an external platform our website links to, your information is handled under that platform\u2019s privacy policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Why we use it<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>To send you our newsletter (special offers and events), in your language.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>To answer your questions and requests.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>To run the website, keep it secure and remember your choices (language, cookie consent).<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Only with your consent: to measure website traffic in order to improve it, and to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not use your information for other purposes without your consent, except as permitted by law. We do not sell your personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Your consent and your choices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li><strong>Newsletter.<\/strong> By submitting the form, you consent to receiving our newsletter. Every email includes an unsubscribe link; you can also write to us.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Cookies.<\/strong> On your first visit, a banner lets you accept, refuse or choose cookie categories. Statistics and marketing cookies, which can be used to identify you or build a profile, are off by default and only turn on with your consent. You can change your mind at any time in our <a href=\"https:\/\/lorangerie.ca\/en\/cookie-policy\/\">cookie policy<\/a>, which also describes each cookie used.<\/li>\n\n\n<li><strong>Children.<\/strong> The website is not intended for children under 14. We do not knowingly collect their information without the consent of a person having parental authority.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Who we share it with<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We entrust some processing to service providers, who receive only the information needed for their mandate and must protect it under a written agreement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>Klaviyo, to send our newsletter;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>WP Engine, our web host;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Google (Google Tag Manager) and, only with your consent, audience measurement tools and advertising platforms (for example Google or Meta). The current list is in our <a href=\"https:\/\/lorangerie.ca\/en\/cookie-policy\/\">cookie policy<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may also disclose information when required or permitted by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6. Information kept outside Qu\u00e9bec<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some of these providers, including Klaviyo and Google, keep information outside Qu\u00e9bec, notably in the United States. Before communicating information outside Qu\u00e9bec, we assess the privacy factors involved and ensure, through a written agreement, that it will receive adequate protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Retention and destruction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected: until you unsubscribe for the newsletter, for the time needed to handle your request for your communications, and for the periods stated in our <a href=\"https:\/\/lorangerie.ca\/en\/cookie-policy\/\">cookie policy<\/a> for cookies. It is then destroyed or anonymized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. Security and governance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We take reasonable measures to protect your information: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access limited to those who need it, and recognized providers. Our person in charge of the protection of personal information oversees our internal rules, which govern the retention and destruction of information, the roles and responsibilities of our staff, and the handling of complaints. If a confidentiality incident presents a risk of serious injury, we notify the Commission d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019information and the people concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Your rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Free of charge, you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n\n<li>access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>withdraw your consent to its use;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>ask that we stop disseminating information about you, or de-index a hyperlink giving access to it, under the conditions set by law;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>receive the information you gave us in a structured, commonly used technological format.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Send your request in writing to our person in charge (section 1).
